Ever wondered what the one-percenters actually do to afford their Rolexes? Well, one guy is hitting the streets of Miami and asking Rolex wearers what they do for a living. He’s a bit like the Daniel Mac of the watch world.Richard was wearing an ice blue Rolex Platnium President which ranges from $50,000 to well over $100,000USD. Lesa was styling a women’s mid-sized Datejust with a mother of peral diamond dial. When asked for their advice on how to hit the big time, the real estate investment specialist said: “Find a problem that needs to be solved”. “Find a way to add value to your customers, come up with a good plan, execute, and persistence is key. Never give up,” he said.Ziv Tamir is a Florida-based Rolex enthusiast who buys and sells preowned and new-unused watches. Here’s what they told him: One man wearing a Datejust on one arm and an Apple watch on the other said “I manage talent. Music producers”. A man from Georgia sporting a Rolex steel 18k Daytona model said he did real estate in Atlanta. The Rolex watch owner offered advice to any young entrepreneurs, saying “be patient and take your time”. Another sporting a Rolex Steel and Platinum Midsize (35mm) Yachtmaster model told Ziv he worked in finance. His advice was similar; “stay focused, and work hard, it pays off”. https://fb.watch/gecioKP2Tn/ One couple visiting Miami had just picked up a Rolex watch – steel and yellow gold submariner with a black dial and black ceramic bezel. He was a pharmacist from Michigan. A woman buying her morning coffee told Ziv: “I am a snack entrepreneur”. She said her business made healthy artisanal snacks for hotel mini-bars. Another woman looking glam in a Rolex steel and 18k rose gold Datejust model 116231 on an oyster bracelet with chocolate dial and diamonds at six and nine told Ziv “I own a luxury vacation rental company”.Overall, Rolex wearers’ jobs varied massively. From people in the roofing business to creative directors and finance managers, they all had similar advice which was to stay focused, work hard and be positive. “Just do good with everything that you do. Do right by people. Have a good positive attitude. Be humble. Absorb everything you can that’s positive.” https://fb.watch/gedNCec9me/ On his quest to meet Rolex owners, Ziv came across a few well-known faces including rapper Tory Lanez who was wearing an iced-out Audemars Piguet. He said besides making music, he was “just a regular guy trying to stay out of trouble and live my life comfortably”. His advice was: “Do whatever makes you feel good, what makes you laugh.” In one video, he asks a couple what they do for a living only to later realise he was chatting to financier Richard Hall and his wife Lesa Milan, from the Real Housewives of Dubai.
Lil Baby was recently approached by a social media personality who asked what the rapper does for a living, and his answer was hilarious. A guy named Ziv The Watch Guy shared an Instagram video on Sept. 15 where he ran into the rapper walking around the Paseo Ponti shopping center in Miami. Ziv noticed Lil Baby's affluent style and wasted no time asking him about the timepiece on his wrist. At first, his entourage wasn't receptive to the man's approach, but the rapper saw no issue and engaged with Ziv. The man had pointed out that he loved Lil Baby's style and asked if he was wearing an Audemars Piguet Rose Gold watch, which the rapper confirmed by showing him the luxurious timepiece. Ziv was blown away by the piece and asked Lil Baby what he did for a living. In true Lil Baby fashion, the rapper turned the conversation comical by revealing he's a thief. "I rob," Lil Baby said with a smile before Ziv asked what advice he had for other robbers. "Don't get caught," Baby added.Lil Baby has been making the most of his time out in Florida. On top of the shopping trip in Miami last Friday, the "We Paid" rapper brought his tour to Tampa Bay and Jacksonville on Sept. 15 and Sept. 16, respectively. Lil Baby kicked off his nationwide tour in July, and the lineup features several supporting acts, including GloRilla, Rylo Rodriguez, Hunxho, and Gloss Up. Australian artist The Kid LAROI was also set to perform, but he dropped out of the tour at the last minute for unexplained reasons.

Mandatory Credit: Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports / Sam Navarro-USA TODAY SportsMiami Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. wasn't expecting an interview about his watch, but that's exactly what happened a few days ago. Jaquez was seen wearing a 42mm Rolex Yachtmaster on OysterFlex. A similar watch sells for almost $32,000 on Rolex's website. 'Ziv The Watch Guy' asked the former UCLA Bruin to "share with our viewers what you do for a living."Jaquez replied, "I play basketball for the Heat, No. 11. Followed by advice for the youth: "Keep working hard."Fans were shocked in the comments that Ziv was not familiar with Jaquez, especially when many of his interviews take place in Miami. He had one of the most impressive rookie campaigns, earning a spot on the All-Rookie First Team. Jaquez averaged 11.9 points and 3.8 rebounds on 48.9 percent shooting in 75 games. Although the Heat's season ended in a disappointing gentleman's sweep against the Boston Celtics, fans have much to look forward to next season. Jaquez was recently seen in the gym, working to improve his three-point shooting ahead of his sophomore year. He shot 32.2 percent last season on 2.7 attempts per game. The team holds the No. 15 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, where names such as Jared McCain and Devin Carter are rumored to go.
Ziv and Nitzy Tamir, owners of a Florida-based seller of preowned and new-unused Rolex watches, launched a program that teaches others secrets of the trade. It was inspired by his great-grandfather's trade school in Yemen. By Libby HerzBy Libby Herz “I don’t think our lives will ever be the same,” says Ari, a husband and father of two. Ari earned $10,000 this month and has been earning that consistently since learning trade secrets at the Tamir Education School of Trade (TEST) 5 short months ago.TEST was established by Ziv Tamir and his wife Nitzy, co-owners of Rocks on Clocks (RocksOnClocks.com), an online seller of preowned and new-unused watches like Rolex, Patek, and AP as well as signed jewelry like Cartier Love Brace and GIA certified diamonds.Ziv Tamir’s great-grandfather ran a trade school in his native country of Yemen which gave Ziv the idea to do the same in the USA.TEST teaches students the insider secrets of buying, selling, and trading luxury watches, diamonds, and jewelry. “We teach everything from how to open a business, become an entrepreneur, and how to think in a certain way,” says Tamir. The program is an international web-based program with an option to learn in person out of Miami, New York, Los Angeles, or Montreal offices.Students of the program range from 16-year-olds who need guidance, to middle-aged parents in dead-end jobs, to men in Kollel and students in university, to professionals looking for a side hustle and ultra successful entrepreneurs and business people looking for a hobby or another stream of income. They are taught how to find leads and close a sale. The program is open for men and women of all ages.“They learn through working,” says Tamir, who was honored with his wife with the “Lubavitch Educational Center’s Founders Award” in 2013.The couple has also been awarded a full-ride Dean’s Merit scholarship at the University of Miami School of Law.Students of TEST see consistent results, he says. Yaakov, a young father of three who participated, said: “You can make 4k in one day. In one month, I pulled in more than 30k. That’s 12k in one week.”Tamir says he discussed the idea of the program with Rabbi Leibel Schapiro, Rosh Yeshiva Gedola of Greater Miami and Rabbi of Congregation Beis Menachem in Miami Beach, and Rabbi Schapiro said that he welcomes students of Test to call with questions relating to masser and halacha.Rabbi Schapiro also pointed out that, “The Rambam says that teaching someone a trade is the highest level of tzedakah,” says Tamir.Additionally, the program emphasizes the importance of Emunah and Bitachon in the business world, he says. Many parents entrust Tamir with their teenagers, knowing that their children will be in an atmosphere of emunah. Tamir encourages students to attend minyan and don tefillin on a daily basis. One student was completely unobservant when he returned from duty in Iraq. Ten years later, he is fully observant, married with a family of his own, and successfully running his own business. While most other dealers of luxury items teach trade secrets to only their close family members, Tamir is happy to share his background knowledge with all TEST students. “Ever since I became an expert in high-end watches,” he says, “I’ve wanted to teach others the business.” Students learn the trade of selling and trading watches, diamonds, and high-end jewelry.Tamir is especially pleased when he has the opportunity to send referrals towards Jewish-owned businesses. “In response to the BDS movement,” he says, “We started something called BSD. It stands for ‘besiyata dishmaya’ (with Heaven’s help). The BSD movement focuses and promotes the idea of supporting Jewish businesses. So many people are happy to support BSD and to do business with honest, G-d fearing people.”The program is actively involved in supporting and partnering up with Chabad houses around the world and encourage Shluchim around the world to reach out to discuss opportunities. For inquiries, email: rachel@rocksonclocks.com
